"There are so many times a accessory kit for a video game system does not definitely have what it should have. For Pelican, they've made some mixed products that really haven't delivered all that well with products at a cheaper price. That is also with the results of the Pelican Starter Kit for the Nintendo DS system. This kit consists of stylus pens, and a screen protector. The stylus pens don't seem to really work very well, compared to the ones Nintendo has developed well. Although the screen protector gives a non-glaring gaze which works very well, it just isn't worth the money if all the working tools are 100% accurate. I honestly suggest you get the original backup stylus pens Nintendo developed for the DS instead."

"I bought this "pens" for my 8 years old nephew. He loves them, told me that they are more durable then the previous ones( he pokes his DS like crazy during playing games and because of it they are all gone). So far he plays with his one favorite stick - not broken yet. The only thing is - these sticks should not have real gender attributed colors? He will not play with the pink one unless it's the last one (too girly he sais). He rated all sticks by color and his favorite one... is black!

Tips for Installing
I've installed protective filters for my PSP and iPod's. The process to affix this is the same as your standard protective filter set for an iPod. This set from Hori has good overall quality but lacks in 3 areas:

- No plastic card is included. You'll need to use a credit card to help you slowly push down the filter and roll out air bubbles. The use of a credit card was not mentioned in the instructions.

- "Cleaning" Cloth isn't great. It looks like it's some sort of packing material and not real cloth. If you have a cleaning cloth for your camera, use that instead. I should have done that. After using the included "cleaning" cloth for several minutes, I still ended up with 3 dust particles after I applied the screen filter, which meant 3 non-removable air bubbles. These air bubbles are visible when the DSI is on (especially on white backgrounds).

- Instructions can be confusing. The 2 filters for the top and bottom screens for the DSI are different. But the backing tape on the filters do not identify them. Be careful that you apply the correct filter to the correct screen.

* I wouldn't recommend letting kids under 10 install this themselves. You need a steady hand and patience. While it's possible to remove the filter after a failed attempt, I wouldn't recommend it. If you have any dust particles get on the filter, they are pretty much not removable and you'll need to live with it or buy another filter.
